This was a pamphlet that was handed out by Adolphine to advertise her ‘freakish’ qualities so she could possibly be picked up by local circuses for sideshows. Her quality was she was “half-man, half-woman”, but in modern terms, she was considered a hermaphrodite. There are photos of her displaying her anatomy, one side being more biologically female and one being more biologically male.
